First round funding announced for critical skills

The Minister for Skills and Jobs, Senator Chris Evans, has recently announced the first wave of successful projects under the $200 million Critical Skills Investment Fund (CSIF). 

The projects will support training for more than 7,500 workers including more than 1,500 new workers.  The initial funding has focussed on the resource, construction, infrastructure and renewable energy industries with almost 1000 places in remote locations.
